Core Aeration

Core aeration is one of the most important things you can do for your yard. Typically, aerating is done at the beginning of the Spring (late March/early April) or in the early Fall (September/October).

We aerate with a core aerating machine that pulls small cores (approximately 3″ deep) from the soil which lets air into your yard. This will also keep the bugs and insects down as they like compacted turf. We recommend that you aerate once a year.

Additionally, when we aerate we will also over-seed your lawn. We only use a premium blend grass seed comprised of rye and fescue for optimal growth. It is the same quality seed used on golf courses in the area and will ensure that your turf is dark green and healthy.

You will not be getting a mediocre “contractor’s blend” seed that will be dead in a year and not look very good. Along with a premium seed blend, we also put down starter fertilizer that gives it the necessary boost to grow quickly.
